1. Accommodation for all invited foreign speakers will be provided at Hoam guest house (aka Hoam Faculty house) close to the back gate of SNU. We will cover airfare and hotel for foreign speakers. Registration fee is not needed.
For a local travel including the excursion, please prepare a T-money card and a sufficient amount of Korean won to enter the palace and museum. You can exchange currency at the airport or buy a Wowpass. For local navigation, google map does not recognise many routes, please use naver or Kakao for more precise information. If Korean to English translation is required, one can use the papago app.
2. Domestic participants, who do not speak at the conference, are requested to arrange their own accommodations.
Transport

From Incheon Airport to Hoam Faculty House
Airport Limousine Bus → No. 6017 (Board at Incheon Airport Terminal 2 Gate 27) → Direct to HoAm Faculty House, 1 hour 40 minutes (100 minutes),
OR (Board at Incheon Airport Terminal 1 Gate 6B) → Direct to HoAm Faculty House, 1 hour 20 minutes (80 minutes)
Note: this option costs about 17,000 Korean Won (approx. 12 USD). You can buy the ticket at the airport using a credit card, a forex card, or Cash.
Cab: An Uber Taxi might cost around 40,000 - 55,000 KRW (approx. 28-38 USD) with travel time around 1 hour and 10 min, depending on the traffic.
Gimpo Airport to Hoam Faculty House
Public Transport: No direct bus from this airport. A few transfers required: Gimpo Airport International Terminal → Gimpo Airport Domestic Terminal → Seoul National University Main Gate → Take a taxi → Hoam Faculty House
OR Subways from Gimpo Airport to Nakseongdae and bus Gwanak 02-1 or Gwanak 02-2 from Nakseongdae to the Hoam guest house.
Cab: An Uber Taxi might cost around 20,000 - 25,000 KRW (approx. 14 - 18 USD) with travel time around 1 hour, depending on the traffic.
Hoam Faculty House to the Conference
The conference venue is about a 23-minute walk from the Hoam guest house. The buses Gwanak02-1, Gwanak02-2 can also be taken, costs about 1500 KRW one way (takes about 12 min).
Dining
For all the Foreign speakers, buffet-style breakfast is provided at the Guest House restaurant, Shangrilla.
There is a welcome dinner on Monday, please let us know at the time of registration if you would like to join.
We have organised a Conference dinner on Wednesday.
The SNU campus has many cafes and cafeterias. The two cafes closest to the venue are Cafe Pascucci and The Lab. At the Seoul National University subway station and Nakseongdae subway station, there are many restaurants, you can choose from many global cuisines.
