Privacy Policy for Knyaw Bible & Hymn

Knyaw Bible & Hymn respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app stores, when information may leave your device, and the choices available to you.

NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED

Knyaw Bible & Hymn does not require you to create an account. The app does not ask for your name, email address, phone number, birth date, or location, and it does not create an advertising profile.

INFORMATION STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

The app may store the following information locally on your device so its features work as expected:

• Your last Bible reading location

• Theme, text-size, and translation-comparison preferences

• Saved Bible verses, highlights, and personal notes

• Saved hymn and responsive-reading numbers

• Downloaded Bible and hymn audio

• Daily Scripture notification preferences

This information is used only to provide the features you choose.

OPTIONAL ICLOUD SYNC

iCloud sync is off until you enable it in the app. When enabled, supported personal information—including saved verses, highlights, notes, saved hymn and responsive-reading numbers, theme, text size, comparison preferences, and your last Bible location—is sent to Apple’s iCloud Key-Value Store so it can appear on your Apple devices.

Downloaded audio and notification schedules are not uploaded to iCloud. The developer does not receive your Apple Account credentials. Apple processes iCloud information according to Apple’s privacy policies.

You can turn off iCloud sync at any time. Turning it off stops future syncing but does not automatically remove information already stored in iCloud. To remove the app’s synced iCloud values while keeping the local copy, open Settings in Knyaw Bible & Hymn, open the More menu beside Sync with iCloud, and choose Delete Synced Data.

BIBLE AND HYMN AUDIO

When you stream or download Bible or hymn audio, the app sends a secure HTTPS request for the selected audio file to the audio-hosting provider. As with ordinary internet connections, the provider receives the IP address needed to return the file and standard request information, such as the requested file and request time.

The app does not attach your personal notes, saved items, Apple Account, name, email address, advertising identifier, or precise location to these requests. Standard connection records may be retained only as needed to deliver and secure the audio service, maintain reliability, and diagnose technical problems. They are not used for advertising, marketing, or cross-app tracking.

DAILY SCRIPTURE NOTIFICATIONS

If you enable Daily Scripture notifications, iOS or iPadOS asks for notification permission. The app uses its bundled Bible and daily-devotion schedule to prepare notifications containing a Knyaw Scripture verse and reference at the delivery time you select.

The notification schedule remains on your device and is refreshed when you open the app. It is not uploaded to the developer. You can turn notifications off in the app or in your device’s Settings app.

PHOTO LIBRARY

The app requests add-only Photo Library access only after you choose Save Photo for a Scripture card. This permission allows the app to save the image you selected. The app does not read, scan, or upload the other photos in your library.

ANALYTICS, ADVERTISING, AND TRACKING

Knyaw Bible & Hymn does not contain advertising or third-party analytics SDKs. It does not sell personal information and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Information stored on your device remains until you remove it in the app or delete the app. Downloaded audio can be removed from its player. Synced iCloud information can be removed using the Delete Synced Data option described above.

Limited audio-server connection records may be retained only for service delivery, security, reliability, and technical diagnostics.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY

The app does not knowingly collect names, contact details, account information, or advertising identifiers from children. No account is required, and the app does not include advertising, social networking, messaging, or user-to-user communication.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If the app’s privacy practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before the changed practices are released.
