2021

nPAE Picnic (2021. Dec.)

The semester is over in this year! We went on a picnic. This year saw a lot of changes in nPAE. Mr. Cho has transferred to the Ph.D. program, Ms. Park has completed her course work, and Mr. Jeong has finished his Master's degree. Furthermore, for the first time in nPAE, Mr. Kim submitted the patent (America). Thanks for their efforts and commitment to all members. This event occurred at a nice time for us, implying an end-of-year celebration.

International Conferences in 2021

Graduate Ceremony with nPAE (2021 Aug.)

Hyo Jong Cho just had finished his M.S. course and being preparing for the next step as researchers, continuing his research with the Ph.D course in nPAE. Congrats and wish a good luck with your future days~!!

Mr. Lee! Long time no see~!

We met Mr. Lee (one of our OB members) by online. He was also invited in the 'Display' class, and progress a long talk about the company life. It was a great helpful event for undergraduate student who are willing to get a job.

OPC 2021 

nPAE won Awards (2021)

nPAE members won awards early in 2021. Prof. Do won the '논 문 상' from Optical Society of Korea in Feb. 2021, which is given to the best paper during the published papers in the JOSK in that year. The first author of the paper is Ki Won Jeong. On Feb, Jun Yong Kim received academic awards, '대암학술상-우수논문상' which is given to distinguished students with outstanding achievement among graduates in that year. Finally, Hyo Jong Cho won the 'SPIE-Best student paper prize' from SPIE, the international society for optics and photonics. Congrats on all the people!!

Graduate Ceremony with nPAE (2021 Feb.)

Jun Yong Kim & Chan Hyeon Park just had finished their course and being preparing for the next step as researchers. Mr. Kim have been continuing his research with the Ph.D course in nPAE. And Mr. Park is preparing for studying abroad (got a admission from one university already).  Congrats two guys and wish a good luck with your future days~!!

2020

Laboratory environment improvement 

Display week 2020 (SID 2020)

Jun Yong Kim participated in Display week 2020, one of the most biggest event in display research field, and presented his paper. Despite of the first trial of the virtual-type, he had an impressive presentation about the high EQE and high color purity OLEDs. Good job~!

Prof. Do received the outstanding lecture award.

Summer Annual Conference of IEIE 2020 (Jeju, Aug. 19~21)

Three M.S. candidates attended the domestic conference 'Summer Annual Conference of IEIE, 2020' which was held at Jeju in the middle of August. All members presented their work in a poster paper type , and had a good time for membership training :)

Picnic to Apsan

Thankfully, despite of the COVID-19, our members have continued to perform their research unceasingly. For cheering up us, we went a picnic to Apsan for refreshing.

2019

nPAE Picnic (Nov. 2019)

We had a picnic day having a shooting experience and eating teppanyaki. This event was a good period for us meaning an early year-end party. Thanks to all our members for their efforts and dedications in 2019. 

IMID 2019 (HICO, August 27~30)

At the end of the summer vacation, 

we participated in IMID 2019 (International meeting on Information Display), one of the largest conference on Display technology. 

Presentation  (Poster paper) 

: Mr. Jun Yong Kim presented a paper (8/28) titled ‘Efficient optical characteristics of thin film encapsulation based on a metalorganic framework for a flexible organic light-emitting diode’

Currently, displays is evolving toward wearable technology, and a growing number of groups are researching with the aim of realizing the integrated system of ‘sensor/ communication/ signal /processing /display’.

OPC 2019 (BEXCO, July 14~17)

Mr. Cho and Mr. Jeong (undergrad. students) firstly participated in the international conference 'Optics and Photonics Congress (OPC 2019)', OSK-OSA-OSJ Joint Symposia,  BEXCO, July. 14 ~ 17). They had perfectly presented their first research outputs in a poster type. And they had a good inspiration.

EKC 2019 (Vienna, Austria, July 15~19)

Prof. Do and Mr. Kim participated in Europe Korea Conference on Science and Technology (EKC) 2019, which was held at Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria. It was the first time for Mr. Kim to present a paper in the international conference. It was a good opportunity to have an insight into interdisciplinary researches.

Summer vacation starts! (July 2019)

The summer vacation starts! This summer will be an important period for us, especially for the interns. 

Three intern students have just finished their first step of the training course. And they have started their own researches. Two of them are going to have presentations on the upcoming international  conference (Optics and Photonics Congress 2019, OSK-OSA-OSJ Joint Symposia). The other student opens a research topic on photovoltaics, the first trial in our lab. 

The adviser feels that nPAE members have grown into researchers, and is proud of them.

KNU-ICT Research Award 2019 - win the 'Best poster-paper award'

Jun Yong Kim (M.S. Course) participated in the 'KNU-ICT Research Award 2019' which was organized by EE department in KNU on June 20th. His research achievements were verified by evaluation professors and he won the 'Best poster paper award'.  Congratulations~!!


석사과정 김준용 학생이 본교 전자공학부에서 주관하는 KNU-ICT research award 대회에서 최우수 포스터상을 수상하였습니다. 축하합니다~~!

Toward 2nd step of internship (May 2019)

We spent an event day with other laboratories. Fortunately, we won the extraordinary game and got a special prize.

2018

nPAE Picnic (Oct. 2018)

We had a picnic day going up to Mt. Palgong. Mr. Kim and Mr. Lee have just finished their first job in nPAE by warping up their research results as a journal paper. Thanks for their efforts and dedications during 6 months especially during Summer vacation. This excursion has been a good period for us .

IMID 2018,  Bexco ( Aug. 28~31, 2018 )

At the end of the summer vacation, we participated in IMID 2018 (International meeting on Information Display), one of the largest conference on Display technology. We've got great inspiration.

It was the very first time when we all together participated in the international conference.

Exhibition High tech. display devices from industrial company (Samsung Display, LG Display, and etc.): Transparent, Largest OLED, 3D Display (Light field) 

Workshops, Tutorials, and other Conference programs The most hottest issue was micro-LED !!
