Brother Edward Tabbutt
Hello Brothers and Families, my name is Edward Tabbutt, and I am a Knight of Columbus. I have been a member since I turned 18. My father was my inspiration for wanting to become a Knight. He was so involved in my home parish as a teen and I took after that model and joined as soon as I was able to. I have been a member of many councils, due to my military career and one thing that has remained constant is the Knights dedication to their community. I continue that today. I currently serve as 14338's Grand Knight, and it has brought me great joy serving our Lord in this way. It is my goal to continue to serve as this was a commitment I made as a teen and I understand that being a Knight is for life.
Vivat Jesus,
Ed Tabbutt
Brother Ray Galuska
As a Catholic from birth I knew of the Knights as the gentleman that wore the uniforms and fanciful hats, swords and sashes at all types of ceremonies at the different Catholic churches that we attended. I thought that these were men that were recruited especially for these religious occasions.
Fast forward another six decades and here I am a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. Personally, it took for my wife and I to retire to Colorado from Illinois and join Holy Apostles Catholic Church. It was at the Knights Chili Cook Off that my friendly KOC insurance agent Ted Morgan approached and recruited me. Sitting down with Ted, attending a Knight’s meeting and finding other men with common interests and pursuits following our Catholic Christian faith helping others in our community was just what I was looking for at this time in my life.
The 4 Principles Knights of Columbus is based on CHARITY/ UNITY/ FRATERNITY/ PATRIOTISM and these are the 4 Reasons to be a Knight. In this world today we all need to get back to living our Christian based life the best we can and lead our families, friends, neighbors to our goal in the next world.
That’s why I urge you now to join with your Brothers in Christ and be the best you can be. Don’t wait get prepared for the next world in the best way possible. Come join us! God Bless! Vivat Jesus!
