Research Interests
Dr. K N Chaithanya Kumar completed his Ph.D. in the department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee) in 2023. His topic of research during Ph.D. was on microstructure and texture evolution in two phase titanium alloys with thermomechanical processing and alloy additions. Chaithanya Kumar has been working on the texture and structure on properties of various conventional and additive manufactured materials, Ti alloys, NiTi shape memory alloys, steels, Al and Mg alloys.
Chaithanya Kumar was graduated from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Anantapur with a Bachelor degree (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering in July 2014. Further he completed his Master’s with specialization in Industrial Metallurgy at Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering (MMED), Indian Institute of Technology (IIT Roorkee) between July 2015 to May 2017.
