BY-LAW

Article 1: Name

This association shall be called the Korean Nurses Association in New England (KNANE) and shall primarily be based in Massachusetts while including the New England region (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire).

Article 2: Purpose and Significance

As a non-profit organization, this association aims to:

• Facilitate professional networking through mutual cooperation among members.

• Promote the professional growth and skill development of its members.

• Serve as mentors to enhance the next generation of nurses' capabilities.

• Contribute to the health promotion of the local community.

• Collaborate and engage in exchanges for mutual development with related organizations.

Article 3: Membership Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Individuals eligible for general membership include graduate students (Master’s or Doctoral) in nursing residing in New England or licensed nurses from the U.S. or Korea who have joined the association.

• Temporary membership is granted to undergraduate nursing students, visiting professors, or individuals who participate in the organization for a limited time.

• General members are required to pay membership fees and comply with bylaws, executive committee resolutions, and board decisions.

• Officers are primarily appointed from volunteers and can also be nominated and elected. Their term is two years, and reelection is possible.

• If the president’s position becomes vacant unexpectedly, the vice president automatically assumes the role until the next fiscal year begins.

Article 4: General Meetings and Gatherings

• A regular general meeting is held once a year during the first quarter.

• The general meeting discusses and decides on matters such as: election of officers, business reports, business plans, budget and financial approvals, bylaw amendments, and other significant issues.

• The annual summer meeting is held as a picnic during the second or third quarter.

• A formal gathering is held at least once a year.

• Special meetings may be convened by the president upon agreement from the executive committee when necessary.

Article 5: Finances

• The association's finances consist of:

  • General membership annual fee: $50

  • Student membership annual fee: $20

  • Donations

• Membership fees should be paid to the treasurer at the general meeting, but payments are also accepted at other times.

• Changes in membership fees are determined by the executive committee and approved by the general meeting.

• The fiscal year of the association runs from the date of the new year general meeting to the day before the next new year general meeting.

Article 6: Bylaw Amendments

• The association's bylaws may be amended as necessary, with proposals initiated by the executive committee and approved by a one-third majority of attendees at the general meeting.

Article 7: Supplementary Provisions

• Any matters not specified in these bylaws shall follow customary practices and be determined through discussion within the executive committee and board.

Board of Directors Bylaws of the Korean Nurses Association in New England

Article 1: Name

This organization shall be called the Board of Directors of the Korean Nurses Association in New England, based in Massachusetts and covering the New England region (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine, and New Hampshire).

Article 2: Purpose

The board aims to:

• Support and advise the Korean Nurses Association in New England.

• Promote the association’s activities.

• Contribute to the development of the next generation of nurses.

Article 3: Membership Qualifications and Responsibilities

• Former presidents and members recommended by the executive committee can become board members upon approval by at least two-thirds of attendees at the annual general meeting.

• Board members must comply with the association's bylaws and resolutions, pay an annual board membership fee of $100, and participate in board meetings and advisory roles.

• Board members can attend and speak at all association meetings and may request a financial report if necessary.

Article 4: General Meetings and Gatherings

• The board meeting discusses and resolves issues related to the association's development, external promotion, and health promotion initiatives for the local community.

1 조 명칭

본 회는 뉴잉글랜드 한인간호사협회 (KNANE: Korean Nurses Association in New England)라 칭하고, 매사추세츠 주를 중심으로 뉴잉글랜드 지역(Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire)을 포함한다.

2 조 목적 및 의의 – 본 회는 비영리단체로써,

1. 회원들의 상호협조를 통해 전문적인 네트워킹을 한다.

2. 회원들의 자질 향상과 전문적 발전을 도모한다.

3. 차세대 간호 역량 향상에 기여하고자 멘토로서의 역할을 한다.

4. 지역사회의 건강 증진을 위해 노력한다.

5. 관련 단체들과의 상호발전을 위해 협력하고 교류한다.

3 조 회원의 자격과 의무

1. 뉴잉글랜드 거주 간호대 석.박사 학생, 혹은 미국.한국의 간호사 면허 소지자로 본회의 회원으로 가입한 자를 일반회원으로 한다.

2. 간호사 면허가 없는 간호대 학부생, 교환 교수 등 한정된 시간 동안 단체에 참여하는 자를 임시회원으로 한다.  

3. 일반회원은 회비를 납부하며 회칙, 임원회, 이사회의 의결사항을 준수해야 한다.

4. 임원선임은 지원자를 우선으로 선출, 추천 선거를 통해 임명될 수 있으며, 임원회의 임기는 2 년, 연임이 가능하다.

5. 예기치 않은 일로 회장의 자리가 공석일 경우, 부회장이 자동으로 다음 회계년도가 시작될 때까지 회장직을 맡는다.

4 조 총회 및 집회

1. 정기총회는 매년 1 회로 1분기 중 개최한다.

2. 정기총회에서는 임원선출 / 사업보고 / 사업계획 / 예산 및 결산 승인 / 회칙 개정/ 기타 중요 사항을 논의, 결정 한다.

3. 하계 정기모임은 피크닉으로 하고, 매해 2-3분기 중 개최한다.

4. 정규적 집회를 최소 매년 1회 개최한다.

5. 임시총회는 필요 시 임원진의 합의에 의하여 회장이 소집한다.

5 조 재정

1. 본회의 재정은 일반회원의 연회비 ($ 50), 학생회원의 연회비 ($ 20), 기부금으로 한다.

2. 회비납부는 정기총회에서 회계에게 납부하는 것이 원칙이며, 수시 납부도 허용된다.

3. 본회의 회비 증감은 임원회에서 결정하며, 총회에서 승인을 받는다.

4. 본회의 회계년도는 신년정기총회날로부터 다음 신년정기총회 전날까지로 한다.

6 조 회칙개정

1. 본회의 회칙개정은 필요에 따라 임원회에서 개정안을 발의하고 총회에서 출석인 1/3 이상의 결의로 개정 할 수 있다.

7 조 부칙

1. 본회에 명시되지 않은 사항은 통상 관례에 준하고 임원회, 이사회 논의로 결정된다.

뉴잉글랜드 한인간호사협회 이사회 회칙  

1 조 명칭

본 회는 뉴잉글랜드 한인간호사협회 이사회라 칭하고, 매사추세츠 주를 중심으로 뉴잉글랜드 지역(Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire)을 포함한다.

2 조 목적

1. 본 회는 뉴잉글랜드 한인간호사협회의 후원, 자문 역할, 협회의 활성화를 도모한다.

2. 차세대 간호 역량 향상에 기여한다.

3 조 회원의 자격과 의무

1. 역대 회장단과 협회 임원회에서 추천된 인사 및 회원으로, 매년 정기총회시 이사회 참석인원의 2/3 이상의 추천 및 승인에 의해 이사회원이 될 수 있다.

2. 본회의 회칙과 의결 사항을 준수, 연회비($ 100)를 납부, 이사회 참석과 협회의 자문에 응해야 할 의무가 있다.

3. 협회의 모든 집회에 참석, 발언할 수 있으며, 의안 심의 및 필요시 재정 보고를 요청할 수 있다.

4 조 총회 및 집회

1. 정기총회는 매해 1분기 중 개최한다.

2. 정기총회에서는 협회의 발전을 위해 협력해야 할 사안, 대외적 홍보 및 지역 사회를 위한 건강 증진 과제 등을 논의하며 결의한다.

 5 조 재정

1. 본회의 재정은 정기총회에서 결정한 이사회비, 기부금으로 한다.

2. 본회의 회계년도는 신년정기총회날로부터 다음 신년정기총회 전날까지로 한다.

6 조 회칙개정

1. 본회의 회칙 개정은 필요에 따라 정기 모임에서 이사회의 재적 인원 2/3 이상 결의로 개정 할 수 있다.

7 조 부칙 - 본회에 명시되지 않은 사항은 통상 관례에 준하고, 이사회 논의로 결정된다.
