Welcome to 6th grade Language Arts (ELA)! This year we will explore how thinkers and writers use their voices—to celebrate, to persuade, to question, to critique, and to connect. We will also explore how our own thinking, speaking, and writing can impact our community and the world around us.

Comets: Welcome to 6th grade ELA. I have worked as an ELA teacher in Dekalb County for 13 years (9 at KMS). I earned my Masters M.A.T. degree at Mercer University in 2010. I have two daughters and a Maine coon! I love to hike, camp, kayak, read, play guitar and rubber-stamp! I look forward to a great year in 6th ELA!
