I specialize in economic growth, business cycles, and macroeconomic policies. Using general equilibrium theory as my main analytical framework, I study a wide range of economic phenomena and develop them into research papers.

My recent work includes research on corporate taxation and economic growth in the presence of globally active firms, the relationship between the government’s portfolio composition, particularly the maturity structure of public debt, and fiscal space, and the heterogeneous effects of changes in policies, institutions, and the economic environment across individuals with different characteristics, such as generations. I also participate in a project that studies the history of Japanese financial markets using both theoretical and quantitative methods.

In my spare time, I also write papers on game theory and information economics as a kind of intellectual DIY.
