Target Audience

There are no formal requirements for participation in terms of an academic degree. We strongly encourage the participation of:

• • • • • • • All STEM students (e.g., physics, mathematics, computer science, engineering) who have an interest in machine learning and AI in Finances, as well as all students in the related field.

            • All industry professionals who either want to learn about the potential of AI and machine learning for themselves or develop a deeper understanding of these topics.

            • Python is the main language for our practicals, here are interesting resources to help you kick off with Python kindly made available by Rockefeller.

Requirements and Prerequisites

No in-depth prior knowledge of machine learning is required, but it is assumed that participants have a basic knowledge of linear algebra and programming. The hands-on exercise will provide an overview of basic programming concepts (Python) and an introduction to the tools necessary to implement machine learning algorithms using Python. We will consider a beginner level.
