Project Description
For this project I did some research about how social media impacts myself and society.
Social Media Addiction Survey
After taking the “AM I ADDICTED TO SOCIAL MEDIA?” QUIZ I notice that I not that addicted to social media. But I still think that I need to work on it because sometimes I do get distracted with it.
You have a HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP with social media - well done!
Congratulations! Psychologists estimate that as many as 5 to 10% of Americans meet the criteria for social media addiction today. But luckily, that's not you! Not checking social media every few minutes doesn't make you feel anxious, as you prefer to live 'in the moment' rather than through your apps. You use social media to your advantage, at work and to connect with friends and family, but you know when to put it away. Keep it up!
The interesting stat was the usage for every different app from adult, young adults and teen. The data matches a bit of my usage of social media.
Social Media Impact on Society
In my opinion social media impact society in a positive way. Apps like Facebook and Instagram work good for advertisement. It let you to be able to connect with others who have similar interests. But also, social media can impact society in a negative way causing mental health like depression by comments and content.
Lessons Learned
I learned about how the usage of social media looks like also that I still need to work on managing my usage on social media sometimes it distracts me while I am working on something.
