Visit Nahcotta and learn about oyster farming at the Willapa Bay Interpretive Center.
Visit Oysterville. Park and walk in Oysterville to the church. Go in - the door is usually open. Be sure to check out the door hardware.
Walk the Discovery trail.
Visit Marsh’s Free Museum in downtown Long Beach. Check out Jake the Alligator Man.
Visit the Cranberry Museum and the research farm to see how cranberries are grown and harvested.
Visit North Head Lighthouse at Cape Disappointment State Park. There are two routes to the lighthouse. My favorite: At the fence enclosure for the houses go to the right, past the garages and small gift shop - a trail to the lighthouse will be visible once you pass the last building.
Visit Waikiki Beach at Cape Disappointment State Park. Get your toes wet here!
Drive to the boat launch at Cape Disappointment State Park. and watch the fishing boats coming back in from fishing.
Drive to the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center at Cape Disappointment State Park. Walk up the trail and to the front of the building. Great view of the mouth of the mighty Columbia- and Cape Disappointment Lighthouse.
Visit the waterfront and see the fleet as they return from a day of fishing. There are several shops and restaurants along this basin .
Visit the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum to learn more about our peninsula and specifically about the railroad that ran by the tides!
Stop by Fort Columbia - the third in the forts that guarded the Columbia River during the 1900's
Visit an early day quarantine station at the Knappton Cove Heritage Center.
