Welcome!

I am a PhD student in philosophy at Yale University. Before Yale, I completed my B.A. at Swarthmore College.

I was also a fellow at Institut für Philosophie in Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (sponsor: Rahel Jaeggi) and the Center for Post-Kantian Philosophy in Potsdam. 

My main research interests are modern European philosophy (esp. Spinoza, Hegel, German Idealism), social & political philosophy, and metaphysics.

I explore how the metaphysics of modern European philosophers interacts with their social and political philosophy. Many of them saw that the problem of realizing freedom is inseparable from the question of the fundamental structure of reality. My dissertation engages with two of them: Spinoza and Hegel.
