Samantha Klejnot [Clay-not]
Samantha Klejnot is a thirteen-year veteran teacher. A Maryland Certified teacher with an advanced professional certificate in special education and elementary education. Mrs. Klejnot graduated from Towson University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and Reading. In 2017, Mrs. Klejnot graduated from University of Notre Dame of Maryland with a Masters in Educational Leadership. She has worked with students from pre-k to middle school with a variety of abilities. Samantha has a passion for teaching, building relationships, and making learning fun & relevant.
Mrs. Klejnot started her teaching career in 2008, as a middle school mathematics teacher, while pursuing her Masters in STEM educational leadership. In private schools, Mrs. Klejnot taught 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science classes as well as pre-K through 8th grade STEM classes. Mrs. Klejnot also taught K-2 computer classes.
In 2013, Mrs. Klejnot moved from private to public schools and taught for AACPS as a self-contained special education teacher for students with emotional disabilities. It was there that she developed a passion for helping students with all levels of needs. Mrs. Klejnot moved schools to teach co-taught science and math middle school special education for AACPS. She has worked with special education students in the co-taught and self-contained settings. She is very knowledgable of the IEP processes in the county and supportive to families trying to evaluate their children or maintain services for their child.
Mrs. Klejnot employs a student centered, multi-sensory, approach to learning. She believes in making learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. Mrs. Klejnot enjoys using technology applications for differentiation, and engaging reluctant readers
Samantha and her husband live in the Annapolis area with their two children and three cats. They welcomed a baby girl in July 2021. Samantha is excited to continue working with students through tutoring, while being home with her daughter full time.
