Volunteers are the cornerstone of our event. We couldn’t do it without you! The profits from the Kids Konsignment Sale help pay for CEC enrichment such as playground maintenance, music classes, creative movement classes, field trips and much more. We ask CEC families, church members, and consignors to join us in volunteering for this special fundraiser. Spouses, grandparents, neighbors and friends are all welcome to volunteer!
Shop early at an exclusive pre-sale
Earn up to 10% more on your consignment sales (1% more per hour volunteered, up to 10 hours)

Make friends and socialize with other volunteers
Our sale runs smoothly because of our amazing volunteers! Whether you enjoy helping shoppers, staying organized, or working behind the scenes, there’s a role for everyone. Most roles are easy to learn, require no special skills, and have clear instructions provided onsite.
Greeters welcome consignors, check them in, answer questions, and help them get started during receiving.
Quality Inspection Volunteers ensure items meet our high standards by checking for cleanliness, condition, and safety.
Floor Attendants help consignors place items in the correct areas and keep sections organized as inventory builds.
Carload Assistants help transport large items and monitor outdoor or parking areas as needed.
Greeters welcome shoppers, manage entry during presales, provide bags/maps, and explain bag and stroller policies.
Floor Attendants keep shopping areas neat, assist shoppers, and help manage large or held items.
Hold Room Attendants manage items shoppers want temporarily reserved while they continue shopping.
Cashier Assistants inspect items at checkout to ensure tags match, items are complete, and counts are accurate.
Cashiers scan items, process payments, and complete transactions using our sale system (training provided).
Security Volunteers monitor hallways and exits to ensure items stay in approved areas and policies are followed.
Sorters help organize unsold items.
Greeters & Carload Assistants help consignors retrieve unsold items.
Want to support the sale but don't have time to consign, volunteer, or shop this year? There are several other ways to help!
Donate Items
If you have outgrown, gently-used childrens items, you can donate them to the sale. Our volunteers will price the items for the sale and 100% of the proceeds will benefit the fundraising goal. Simply drop your items off at the main CUMC entrance (to be stored in Missions Closet) or at the preschool if dropping off your child. We are happy to arrange for pickup of large donations or large items if you live within a 10 mile radius of the church. Contact us at kidssale@gmail.com to arrange pickup.
Sponsor the Sale
Are you a business owner, or do you know one? We are always seeking sponsors! Email us at kidssale@gmail.com to discuss or to nominate a business.
Make a Monetary Donation
Any funds donated will go directly toward the fundraising goal. Email kidssale@gmail.com for different payment options we have available.
Donate Food
Our volunteers work hard to ensure the sale is a smooth experience. Any food, snack, or drink donations are always appreciated!
Thanks to our volunteers and supporters! The sale could not happen without YOU!
