Meet the Herricks!

KK Pork was founded by Kristen in 2020 when the pork industry was seeing a demand for meat products during the craziness of COVID-19. While Kristen and her father, Scott, raised show pigs for many years prior, she saw an opportunity to expand her business. Locals were looking for quality, homegrown, affordable products while meat was absent in grocery stores. That was the beginning of KK Pork.

Our pigs are currently raised on Kristen's parents, Scott and Rhonda's farm in rural Franklin, Nebraska. Kristen is a Senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln majoring in Agriculture and Environmental Science Communcation and minoring in the Engler Entrepreneurship Program and Leadership and Communcation. While Kristen is currently in school, the help of her brother Leyton and his girlfriend, Shelby, and her parents play a huge role in the behind-the-scenes work of KK Pork.

Kristen's passion for agriculture and the pork industry is why she began KK Pork. She works hard to share her story and connect producers and consumers with the hope of impacting people's lives.
