"My two sons, ages 8 & 12, had previously taken piano lessons for a year or so, but it wasn’t until they started taking lessons with Miss Katie that their skill really improved. Even more valuable than that, for me as a parent, was their absolute love and enjoyment of playing that quickly developed! They love performing their memorized pieces for friends and family, and I love that they can hardly walk past our piano during the day without stopping to play it for a bit. Miss Katie connected with each of them at their individual skill levels, but more importantly, fostered connections with them as young people. This kept the boys always looking forward to their lessons and to learning new materials. She came to us recommended by another teacher in the area who did not have room in her studio for three more kids.
