In the event of sever weather we tie together the 146.475 and 146.850mhz repeaters to disseminate real time weather information to Ham Radio Operators, the public, and relay information about storm paths back to Emergency Management and/or the NWS Tulsa office.
In the event of sever weather, it is important to be prepared before weather impacts your area. Stay weather wise, have a flashlight, extra batteries, first aid kit, potable water, emergency food supplies as well as the ability to seek shelter at a moments notice. During weather events its important to monitor local news broadcasts, NWS radio broadcasts, and local Ham frequencies.
