There are two main ways to participate. Please choose the category that fits your age and technical skill.
Note: Only one racer per Kart. Each racer may only enter one category.
Who is it for? Open to all ages (No age limit).
The Kart: You must Build Your Kart (BYK). We highly encourage using recycled or repurposed materials.
Race Format: 1 Kart per run (Individual Launch).
Entry Fee: RM 100 per entry.

The Kart: Racers use a standard, off-the-shelf gravity kart. You may rent one from us or bring your own standard model. No modifications are allowed other than removable decoration and racer’s costume.
Race Format: 2 karts per run (Simultaneous Launch).
Entry Fee: RM 50 per entry.
Rental Fee: RM 50 (if you do not own your standard kart).
Sub-Categories:
B1 Novice: Age 12 and above
B2 Kiddies: Age below 12. Adult supervision is required for B2.

· Pneumatic tyres (not exceeding 300 mm diameter)
· Heavy duty industrial rubber castors
Strictly prohibited:
· Hard plastic office chair wheels
· Wooden discs
· Any type of wheel that can shatter or splinter

Example of Kart to be used for Category B1 and B2
When registering, your Kart may compete in any or all of the following three events. Each Kart will be allowed 2 runs.
Safety First: All racers must wear helmets, gloves, knee pads, and elbow pads at all times. Closed-toe shoes are required.
Check-In: You must check in 30 minutes before your scheduled race for a mandatory Safety Inspection.
The Runs: Each kart gets 2 runs.
Time Trial Tip: If you crash in Run 1, you can recover in Run 2.
Logistics: After Run 1, karts must be towed/pushed back to the starting grid.
Sportsmanship: Unsportsmanlike conduct will result in disqualification. Justification will be up to officials and the Chief Marshal’s decision will be final.
Additional rules or modification of rules on Race Day may be introduced at the Chief Marshal’s sole discretion.
Prizes will be given to the winners of each category and event. Grand Prize for Category A will be a 5D4N Sabah stay, inclusive of 1 night at Ara Dinawan Island Resort! We also have special prizes for creativity, such as:
Best Decorated Ensemble: Judging the Kart & Costume.
Sustainability Award: Most creative use of recycled/repurposed materials.
Sportsmanship Award: For the racer showing the best spirit.
