The Kiwanis of Honolulu website is now live! Thank you for visiting :)
Chartered on May 13th,1947, the Kiwanis Club of Honolulu was the first Kiwanis Club established in the state of Hawaii.
The club is part of the CNH (California-Nevada-Hawaii) division 22.
The club currently sponsors 7 Key Clubs and 2 Circle K Clubs.
In 2024, the club established a sister relationship to the Kiwanis Club of Fukuoka, Japan
Starting October 2024, the organization meets two times per month on the 2nd and 4th Thursday. Both meetings are held from 5:30pm-6:30pm at Kaimuki Public Library's downstairs conference room. Note: During November and December, there is only one meeting (the one of the 2nd Thursday) for each month due to the later half of the months dedicated to the holidays.
The club strives to have a guest speaker at one of the meetings each month. Guest speakers are people in the community who can teach club members more about what they do and what the club can do to support them and make a difference.
Guest speakers our club has had within the past year:
Judy Oliveira, Director of Student and Academic Support and Academic Support at the University of Hawaii Community College System Office
Nancy Wo, CEO and Co-Founder of Volunter Ally
Lea Domingo, branch manager of Kaimuki Public Library
Susan Furuta, President and CEO of Helping Hands Hawaii
John Fielding, Director of Risk Management for Altres and part of Catholic Charities
Trung Lam, Head of Community at Thrive HI
Jackson Sayama, District 21 State Representative
