Introduction
Local Vault is an offline-first password manager designed to protect your passwords notes and private credentials on your own device.
Information We Collect
Local Vault does not require account registration and we do not operate a server that collects your vault contents.
The app may process the following information locally on your device
passwords secure notes account details and other content you choose to store
- device-provided biometric authentication status used for unlocking
- local diagnostics or crash information made available through platform services you enable.
How We Use Information
We use information only to provide core app features such as
storing and displaying encrypted vault items
- generating passwords
- unlocking the app with system biometric features
- restoring or backing up data through device or platform features you choose to use.
Storage and Security
Your vault data is encrypted and stored locally on your device. We use industry-standard protections including encrypted local storage. If you choose to use backup export share or cloud features provided by your platform those actions are handled by the services and destinations you select.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We do not share your vault contents with our own servers. Data may be processed by Apple Google Microsoft or other platform providers only when you choose features that rely on those services.
Children's Privacy
Local Vault is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own servers.
Your Choices
You can edit or delete your vault data at any time from within the app. You may also stop using optional biometric backup export or cloud-related features at any time.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
