Also known as "Lovey" because she looked like the love child of Lili and Cricket. Also known as Fluffy-butt the Destroyer. Also known as "Not Our Cat" until she was our cat. She belonged to the people around the corner. When their neighbors lost their house during the Great Recession, they left and abandoned their dogs. The neighbors took them in, but Princess hated them. So she started hanging out at our place. It was clear she'd been fixed and we eventually found out who owned her when one of their dogs escaped and they saw her when they came to pick him up.
Several things happened over the years. The wife of the neighbor died unexpectedly and Princess, as she aged, started getting more frail. So we made the decision to take her inside. At that time, she was (best guess of the Vet) about 12. She became a fixture in our house until mid-2025, when at age 21, with kidney failure, we helped her cross the rainbow bridge. The last of the second generation of cats.
