 The Background

Nearly 35 years ago, Kitsap Youth Rugby was formed at the request of a few South Kitsap High School players. From the beginning, the program was unique. For many years, until the International Rugby

 Board banned the practice, we were one of the very few fully contact high school rugby programs in the United States.

Kitsap Youth Rugby built a reputation for toughness, integrity, and community. More importantly, it produced young men and women who went on to become committed members of their communities, serving professionally in the armed forces, emergency services, law enforcement, education, and beyond, as well as leading through volunteerism and nonprofit work.
