I was born in the city of Panjin which is belong to Liaoning province, China. After several years' studies in local schools, I went to Northeastern University (NEU) in Shenyang since 2004, where I received my Bachelor degree (BEng) in Automation and Master degress (MSc) in Control Theory & Control Engineering in 2008 and 2010, respectively. As a PhD candidate, I worked in the State Key Laboratory of Synthetical Automation for Process Industries (SAPI) at NEU supervised by Prof Tianyou Chai and Prof Zheng Fang from 2010 to 2011. Then I moved to Control System Centre (CSC) at University of Manchester (UoM) as a visiting scholar in December 2011. Since 2013, I started my PhD programme supervised by Prof Hong Wang in the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) while I was awarded PhD degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from UoM in 2016. After graduation ceremony, I joined Brain-Computer Interface Laboratory at University of Essex as Senior Research Officer in Neural Engineering and I was appointed as Lecturer in Dynamics and Control at De Montfort University (DMU), Leceister in July 2017 and was promoted as Senior Lecturer in January 2019. From September 2019, I accepted the offer from University of Bradford (UoB) as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Computer Science.
