They say all dogs go to heaven; but that’s kind of crap, wouldn’t you agree? Voz’rukk would, at least. He never wanted to go to heaven in the first place. But, it seems that no matter how horrible you are, as soon as you coincidently save the life of a priest from some fallen brick and die yourself as a result, you automatically get sent upstairs. Ain’t that a bitch? Voz’rukk detested it the whole time–ask him and he’ll tell you the place is full of brown-nosers, do-no-wrongers, holier-than-thous, and generally just people that found his version of “fun” to be “abhorrent”. He did everything he could to get himself kicked out and finally that day came.
When he descended, Voz’rukk was not treated very warmly at first, seeing as his initial destination upon his time of dying was above. But, that didn’t deter him–instead he became stronger from it; more ruthless. It was on his descent that he started on the path of truly becoming a demon. He ripped open anyone who dared to even look at him funny and snapped their bones between his teeth. Rumor of his ferocity and strength quickly spread until it reached Vazgurd, Captain of the Hellhound Sentinels.
Voz’rukk was more than happy to join in and be trained and taught under Vazgurd’s wing. It didn’t take long for Voz’rukk to climb ranks and surpass training and finally the day came to prove himself in front of the nobility of Hell in order to truly become a Sentinel. With their blessing, he became an official Hellhound Sentinel and to this day, he works alongside Vazgurd on various missions. However, this is also in part because he has to. Voz’rukk has one weakness: because of being sent to heaven initially, Voz’rukk has the inability to lie. So, Vazgurd pairs himself personally with Voz’rukk to protect himself and others. However, over time, this “curse” has slowly been fading as he’s now able to speak little white lies. He’s certain that over time since being in hell, this curse will eventually vanish. Until then, he has no problem having Vazgurd on missions alongside him–there’s still much to learn after all!
He has also started to learn arcane abilities from Vazgurd as well. Some minor healing spells and hexes; but the bulk of his abilities come with being able to summon a hellish purple fire to use in battle. As he becomes more exposed to the arcane, purple markings have started to appear across Voz’rukk’s body and will start to glow (along with his horns and head gem) when he is casting.
