I was raised in a little town with a population of 100 people, called Kegaska! Located on the Basse Cote Nord of Quebec, at the end of the Route 138. You could take a 17 hour road trip to visit and take your picture at the infamous road sign (The experience and scenery are worth it)! Since moving away for school my second homes have been Montreal and Sherbrooke!
I am a hairdresser, loving friend and sister, a fish owner and avid lover of the outdoors, adventures, and all things artistic. And while I have music playing 24/7 I unfortunately did not get the music talent in my family.
For the past year, I have attended University while also practicing my hairdressing on the side.
When I am not in school or working, I like to try out new art skills, from acrylic painting to sewing to woodwork. Of course, I have to make time for sushi and mini putt with friends!
Speaking of friends; I believe time with friends and family keeps your heart full and makes your worries disappear, so I always make sure I have time in my week to enjoy some free time with them. If I can’t see friends my fish Cowboy and I hang out, he doesn’t have much to say but he’s nice to look at 😊
Upon the completion of my degree at Bishops, I would like work in different areas around Canada to see what the rest of this wonderful country has to offer but my ultimate goals is to return to the Basse Cote Nord and start a family in a great community where I’ll be teaching.
My main professional objective is to make sure my class is a safe space for all students with multitudes of backgrounds. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community I know how important inclusion is!
Being from a coastal town I have a background in commercial crab fishing, and it was one of the most magical experiences I’ve ever had. There’s nothing as breathtaking as seeing the sunrise on the open water with no land in sight and nothing but the sounds of the gulls and waves.
I enjoy ATVing in the summer and skidoo-ing in the winter and camping all year round!
I enjoy hunting for sustenance and capturing animals on my camera the rest of the time.
