Kirsten Krueger, MSW

Technical Advisor, Research Utilization, FHI 360

Kirsten Krueger, MSW, is an FHI 360 Technical Advisor in Research Utilization (RU) with over 20 years of experience managing and supporting social science research and research utilization in developing countries. She specializes in designing and conducting research use activities, primarily in health, reproductive health, and family planning. Her work focuses on translating evidence into program and policy guidance to accelerate the uptake of evidence at global, national, and sub-national levels. This work includes effective engagement of stakeholders, strategic planning for intervention scale-up, advocacy, synthesis of research and programmatic evidence, and development and dissemination of knowledge products. She is experienced in leading capacity building initiatives in various topics including using data for decision-making and designing communication products. Ms. Krueger’s technical expertise includes FP access, task-sharing, community-based family planning, and community-based access to injectable contraception. Before joining FHI 360, Ms. Krueger led the evaluation team for the North Carolina Teen Pregnancy Prevention Initiative, where she was responsible for overall coordination of project activities and for data use training across the state. She has a Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
