Kirsten Estes

From the who, what, when, and where of my own birthday parties to the operational plan for an on-campus pumpkin painting event in college, event planning has always been my passion. However, it wasn't until I accompanied my father to Open Source Summit in Los Angeles in the fall of 2017 that I realized my desire to work in the corporate event industry. I hope to work planning conferences for technology companies with an emphasis on corporate hospitality and diversity within the industry. I am blessed to be studying Event Management at High Point University, and I cannot wait to see where my passions take me.

My talents include bringing energy and direction to team projects, staying organized while balancing multiple responsibilities, and using my desire for learning to educate myself on industry trends.

Outside of school and work, I love traveling to new places and exploring different cultures. I have been an avid reader since I was young, and I am always picking up a new autobiography to read. I don't consider myself to be an artist, but I still enjoy painting as a way to relax and challenge my perfectionist tendencies. 

My Personal Mission Statement

To me, success is going to bed every night knowing that I put my best work into everything I did that day and had a positive outlook despite external circumstances. I chose High Point University for my undergraduate career because I fell in love with the idea of being extraordinary. I studied event management, with a goal to plan tech conferences, using my skills in organization and a passion for bringing people together. In my life, I strive to create an impact in my workplaces and personal life that inspires those around me.
