Art is not my fulltime job. Commissions are done in my free time, therefore commissions should not be expected to be finished in a time sensitive manner. The base time for a commission is a week after the initial sketch for non-animated commissions and 2 weeks for animated comissions. If I believe the commission will take longer for any reason (i.e. difficulty, additions, multiple commissions, que time, etc.), an extension will be discussed and agreed upon before payment. Once payment is accepted and the commission is started, you should not expect the completed artwork before the agreed upon completion date.
I will do my best to communicate as much as possible through the commission process. I will try my best to ask as many questions as possible to make sure your commission is to your liking. With that being said, it is important for you to note that I will be doing the commission entirely based on the information you give. You are responsible for providing me with refs and describing what you want to the best of your ability. Any further digging or research on my part is fully up to my discretion. You can always ask questions and add information and refs if you forget or as they come up.
Once I receive payment, your commission will be placed in que. I will first complete a sketch. The sketch will be sent to you for approval. You have five chances to make major adjustments* after the finished sketch has been sent. After the fifth adjustment is discussed and executed, any adjustments after will come at a fee of $3 per. Once the sketch is approved I will start on the colouring, lining, and rendering. Once that is finished, it will be sent for final approval. Request for minor adjustments* may be requested and discussed, but there is no guarantee they can be executed at this stage.
Once I receive payment, your commission will be placed in que. I will first complete a sketch of the general animation idea. The sketch will be sent to you for approval. Once the general animation idea is communicated and approved, I will finish smoothing out the animation and completing the animated sketch. This finished sketch will be sent for approval. You have three chances to make major adjustments* after the sketch has been sent. After the third adjustment is discussed and executed, any adjustments after will come at a fee of $5 per. Once the sketch is approved, I will finish the lining, colouring, and rendering. Once that is finished, it will be sent for final approval. Request for minor adjustments* may be requested and discussed, but there is no guarantee they can be executed at this stage.
Please make sure you are familiar with my art and my capabilities. Make sure you are familiar with the quality of my art before proceeding. I am always up for a challenge and hope to challenge myself with each of these commissions, but you should not expect anything beyond my abilities presented in my example art. You can find examples of my most recent artworks here: [Portfolio]
*Major Adjustments are any adjustment that require me to erase or change a significant portion of the commission. This includes, but is not limited to, pose changes, character changes, background re-dos, complete line art re-draws, and rendering re-dos.
*Mionor Adjustments are any adjustment that does not require a significant change of the commissions components: line art, sketch, rendering, background, etc.
Commissions are for personal use. This includes YouTube, Twitch, etc. Credit is very appreciated but never expected.
If you wish to use your finished commissioned piece for commercial use, the commercial rights can be bought for an additional 2x the commission price.
I assume all rights to use finished commissions to promote and market my commission sales.
All character rights belong to their respective owners.
Base prices of commissions (including addons) will be asked upfront. Any additional fees for complexity or added components will be requested when the final sketch is presented for approval. These fees will have been talked through and agreed upon during the planning stage of the commission; no complexity or added component fees will be added once the line-art is started.
Additional major adjustment fees will be requested before the additional adjustments are executed.
If there are extra fees, the commission will not move past the sketch phase until all fees are paid.
If there are no extra fees, the commission will proceed once the sketch is approved.
Refunds are available if one or more of the following are true:
- The agreed upon completion date has past (Additional major adjustment fees will not be included in the refund)
- I have decided to cancel the commission for any reason (you will automatically be refunded)
-I have a personal emergency, in which case you will be given the option to receive a refund or add an extension to the completion date
If none of the following stated above are true, you are not entitled to a refund. You are not entitled to a refund if the commission is "not what you expected" (refer back to "What to Expect" and familiarize yourself with my art and my abilities). Once the commission is fully payed for, complete, and the watermark has been removed, there are no refunds.
