Born in Robeson County and raised in Hoke County, Kirk Lowery has dedicated his life to service. A graduate of Hoke County High School and U.S. Air Force veteran, Kirk built a successful career in telecommunications, where for over 23 years he’s helped connect families and businesses across North Carolina.
Kirk serves on the Raeford-Hoke Chamber of Commerce, the Hoke County Board of Adjustment, and the Hoke Native American Scholarship Association, where he works to create opportunities for education. In 2021, he was elected to represent Hoke County on the Lumbee River Electric Membership Corporation Board of Directors, where he has worked to keep utility rates among the lowest in the Sandhills and protect families from rising costs caused by government overreach and burdensome energy mandates. Through his work on the Chamber of Commerce, Kirk has helped attract new industries and support the small businesses that fuel Hoke and Scotland County’s economies.
Kirk’s campaign for the General Assembly is built on four key priorities: improving education, strengthening law enforcement, empowering small businesses, and bringing jobs and infrastructure to the district.
Kirk and his wife, Gail, have been married for 34 years. They are the proud parents of four children- Krystal, Kelsey, Kayla, and Erik- and grandparents to one grandson, Karson. Kirk is a proud member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina and is a member of Mount Zion Pentecostal Church in Pembroke. Kirk’s daughter, Kayla, owns a bakery in downtown Raeford.
