Hello and welcome to my personal website.

I most recently worked as a Lecturer in the School of Mathematics, Statistics, and Physics at Newcastle University (UK). Prior to this, I was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Institute of Statistics and Mathematical Economics, RWTH Aachen University (Germany), and earlier a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Statistical Quality Control and Operations Research Unit at the Bangalore Centre of the Indian Statistical Institute.

I obtained my PhD in Statistics from the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, specializing in lifetime data analysis and distribution theory, under the supervision of Prof. Debasis Kundu and Prof. Sharmishtha Mitra. Before that, I completed an MSc in Statistics with a specialization in Actuarial Science.

My research develops inference and decision-oriented statistical methodology for stochastic systems operating under non-regularity, censoring, and experimental constraints. I focus on problems where standard likelihood-based and asymptotic tools fail and where reliable inference must be tightly coupled with optimal experimental design and computational feasibility. Methodologically, my work spans frequentist and Bayesian inference, lifetime data analysis, and the design of life-testing experiments, with applications in reliability engineering and statistical quality control.

Outside academia, I enjoy playing squash, practicing yoga, and wall climbing.
