What does a self sustained island mean?

Self sustained means that all produce will be grown on the island, in community farms, and private gardens. All energy will be generated by solar panels, wind turbine, and rain water will be collected for use. The island will not generate a carbon footprint and will harmonize with nature.

What does Kipos mean?

Kipos is the Greek word for Garden. :)

What kind of houses will be built?

We are currently in communications with 3D Home printing companies. 3D houses are one of the most sustainable ways to build a house. They are very cost effective and can be completed in a few days.

How will the island function?

The main goal is to function as a community. Anyone who is interested in living on the island should have a skill that will benefit the community. Anything that benefits the community as a whole such as permaculture specialist, yoga instructor, teacher, gardening enthusiasts, holistic health practitioner, etc.

Can anyone live on the Island?

Since the goal here is to build a strong vegan community there will be a review process.

What if my spouse is not vegan?

There will be absolutely no animal products available on the island. If your spouse isn't ready to commit to a fully vegan lifestyle, there are rental options available, as well as holistic health retreats where you can 'try out' the island life before committing. This is also available to any friends or family members that are visiting and/or thinking of making the move.

Will there be internet?

Of Course!! All the modern amenities will be available.

Internet, phone, mail, electricity, plumbing, etc.

Can I bring a pet?

Please do! We love animals and plan to open a small animal sanctuary as well.

What about GMO's?

The Island will be free of GMO's of any kind.
