I am a research scientist passionate about pushing the boundaries of deep learning techniques in weather and climate applications. With a focus on enhancing forecast accuracy and interpretability, I have developed an innovative seasonal forecasting method by integrating deep learning with the analog forecasting approach. Leveraging my expertise in extreme weather, stochastic modeling, data assimilation, and climate reconstruction, I aim to drive meaningful advancements in the field.
Feel free to reach out for discussions or collaborations.
My current and past research topics include:
Hybrid deep learning and analog forecasting of ENSO
Mechanism and subseasonal forecasting of atmospheric river
Improving weather forecasting by satellite water vapor isotope data
Historical weather reconstruction using old diaries and data assimilation
Characterization of extreme precipitation
Stochastic modeling of unsaturated flow in heterogeneous soils
High-resolution soil moisture monitoring by assimilating active and passive microwave remote sensing
