Kingswood PTA
2019 Fall "Fun" Raisers
Stronger community starts here.
Friday, October 18th
(Meet at the Downtown Cary fountain to walk to the school at 5:00 p.m. Fall Festival & Book Fair is from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. at the school.)
The Kingswood Elementary PTA is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that proudly focuses on making every child's potential a reality by engaging and empowering the families and communities at Kingswood STEM/Montessori Magnet Elementary School.
Kingswood Elementary is in the heart of Cary and is a ‘Title I Distinguished School’ with a diverse population of approximately 400 students. Like many public schools, Kingswood relies on resources from the PTA to thrive.
Our goal for this fundraiser is $10,000. We can’t do this without your help!
This is the only major fundraising event for the 2019-2020 school year. Our primary purpose in raising these funds is to improve the playground and outdoor learning spaces at Kingswood.
Additionally, the PTA also supports:
- Kingswood's Family-School Partnership Program that focuses on student achievement through parental classes designed to support your child's specific academic progress
- Food assistance programs to help members of our school community
- Kingswood's Positivity Project
- Purchasing necessary classroom supplies and reimbursements for teachers who often buy supplies out of pocket
- STEM learning programs
- Cultural arts programs and events, including the Kingswood International Festival
- Black History Month education and activities
- Hands-on environmental learning activities, art and music materials
- Student clubs
