Section 1 Fair Play Policy:
1.1 All players must abide by the rules and play fairly
1.1.1 Players will uphold the principles of fair play and done so in proper etiquette
1.2 Players must follow these important rules in respect to the fair play policy:
1.2.1 In under no circumstances should players communicate during matches except with the arbiters or other tournament officials
1.2.2 Players are not allowed to have other windows open while playing the online chess matches, except to contact to contact the arbiter etc.
1.2.3 The registered player must be the ONLY person playing the game without any outside interference
1.2.4 Players are not allowed the usage of engines such as Stockfish, AlphaZero, Komodo chess etc.
1.2.5 Players may not use any external websites like YouTube or chess books for assistance during live games
1.3 Players must abide by the rules stated above and anyone that breaks the rules will face consequences.
1.4 If a player breaks the rules, some of the following may happen:
1.4.1 Player may be banned from CFC or receive a temporary suspension
1.4.2 Loss of the games in which such violations has occurred
1.4.3 Banned from the Kings Brigade Chess Club until further notice
Section 2 Code of Conduct:
2.1 All players must behave respectfully during games, also in between breaks as well
2.2 Any behaviour such as abusive languages, or harassments will lead to a termination of tournament
2.3 Any player that is late will be subjected to the time that's left in their matches
Section 3 Prize Money:
3.1 Currently prize money is not offered due to some discrepancies
Tiebreaks
In the case of tie breaks, we will follow the following orders in determining the winner.
Direct encounter
Most wins with black
Sum of rating opponents
If there are draws in games instead of losses , that will be preferred over losses. For example:
Case 1: 4 wins and 1 loss
Case 2: 3 wins and 2 draws
In this scenario, we would give the overall win to case 2, as they didn't lose any games, even though the scores are the same.
