FAHAKA PUFFERFISH - KAREN
Originating from Africa, this species is known for being highly aggressive and large growing. Karen could possibly reach a size of 45cm eventually. Fahaka puffer fish do best kept alone, as they don't tolerate company of their own species or others very well, often seeing them as potential food. Karen eats a variety of foods, including insects such as cockroaches, morio worms, crickets and earth worms. The cockroaches and other hard shelled foods are great at helping to keep Karens constant growing beak down, as she grinds them up. You can often hear her grinding these bugs quite loudly during feeding times. Although this species is known to be highly aggressive, we`ve been very lucky with Karen as she is very mild mannered and doesn't seem to mind us cleaning her tank ect. However, we always treat her with the respect that she deserves and were always very mindful that she is a wild animal and can vary in her behaviours. We hone that vou have enioved thic little bit of infarmation ahaut Karen and if you have any further questions, please ask one of our colleague's.
