Who Are We?
King Philip DECA had its start in 1971. DECA is an international organization that prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools around the globe. DECA promotes a creative mindset within its students, drawing out their passions and turning it into a real-world project. Students work in groups of 1-3 and develop projects that impact their lives and shape them as an individual. Students compete in districts, states, and international competitions, proving that DECA is no ordinary class #maximizeyourmomentum

Welcome new or aspiring King Philip DECA members! DECA is a project-based, competitive business course empowering emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in the fields of marketing, finance, management and hospitality. DECA is much more than a class; you are registered for an adventure filled with hard work, determination, and success. Being a member of DECA teaches profound life skills such as confidence, public speaking, and professional writing and communication. Through joining King Philip DECA you will experience the meaning of teamwork, the joy of travel, and the thrill of competition!

Maybe you have your own idea for a company that you feel would be successful. Or perhaps you want to support a charity and raise money for a great cause! The possibilities for your project are limited only by your own imagination. In each category and for every project, all members have a common goal: To compete at the highest level of competition. When your hard work and effort pays off during early rounds of competition, you can have the opportunity to show off your ideas against students from around the world. Winning this international competition is every DECA member’s ultimate dream. Go out there and win that DECA glass!
