Pastor Maria Calaway
Pastor Maria Calaway was born on September 24, 1960, and was raised in the city of Bridgeport, Connecticut. From the very young age of about 6 years old she wanted to dedicate her life to God and teach others about Him. She knew then, as she knows now, that she was called to do something special in the Kingdom of God. Having received the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior on July 24, 1986, all of these desires were rekindled in her, with greater clarity of the calling the Lord had placed in her life. As she endeavored in much prayer and fasting for direction from Him, the Lord let her know that she was called from the womb, even as Jeremiah was, "to root out and to pull down and to destroy and to throw down, to build and to plant." (Jeremiah 1:10) The Lord confirmed that He had placed His anointing upon her to "preach good tidings unto the meek; to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and the opening of the prison to them that are bound." (Isaiah 61:1)

From this point on she wanted to make her calling and election sure. She endeavored to study the Word of God in depth to show herself approved unto Him and to operate in the gifts He had placed within her. In December of 1988 she completed a two-year program in Ministerial Studies through National Outreach Bible Institute. In September 1992, she established W.I.N., Women Interceding for our Nation, an intercessory prayer group. She entered into the ministry in March of 1993 and in November of that same year became an Associate Pastor of Lifeline Ministries Bridgeport.
"Kingdom Vessels" was the first ministry launched out of Lifeline Ministries Inc. under the direction and leading of the Holy Spirit, as well as the Pastoral guidance of her husband, Senior Pastor Reed Calaway. Kingdom Vessels was televised weekly via public broadcasting throughout Connecticut. In May of 1998 she launched out into another aspect of her ministry, “Vasijas Del Reino,” (Spanish translation for Kingdom Vessels) bringing expository teaching in Spanish under the mandate of God to reach the Hispanic Nation with His Word. Her radio ministry, “Dios Habla Hoy,” (God Speaks Today) aired daily, as she fulfilled God's calling on her life. Some time later, she went on to continued religious studies at Yale University. She has obtained an A.A. Degree from Valencia College in General Studies as well. She is a member of the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance, the National Honor Society, and the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society. She has been given the Cambridge Award for Executives and Professionals.
Pastor Calaway is also a Registered Nurse and currently serves as an Admissions Nurse for a Hospice Program. She has utilized her ministerial gifts in the secular field to minister to the broken hearted in Pediatric Intensive Care, Community Health Nursing, working with mentally ill and physically challenged individuals, as a liaison for ex-felons in the community, ministering to the elderly, and in counseling persons with HIV and AIDS. She has used her gifts within the Body of Christ teaching Sunday School, ministering to both women and men at Hosanna Ministry Drug Rehab Center, teaching "The Christian Family" Bible course at the Theological Institute, Pastoring alongside her husband Senior Pastor Reed Calaway teaching "The Birthing Process," "Kingdom Vessels," "His Ways," and other Bible courses, and preaching the unadulterated, uncompromised Word of God. It is her greatest desire to continue to expound on the Word of God by Expository Teaching so that the hearers may be edified, built up in righteousness, delivered from the bondage of sin, and set free.
Pastor Calaway endeavors to pursue mission work abroad as she continues the mandate to bring the Word of God to the nations. She has relocated to Orlando, Florida where she currently serves as Associate Pastor in Lifeline Ministries Orlando, alongside her husband Senior Pastor Reed Calaway and four sons Shalom, Chayil, Zoe and Tsebiy. She is available for teaching and or preaching in a wide assortment of venues in English or Spanish. She has ministered at Women's Breakfasts, Luncheons, Dinners, Church events, Retreats, Advances and other similar events. She has taught course study work at The Theological Institute and at Lifeline Ministries.
