In 2015, a divine vision was brought to reality with the founding of Kingdom of Grace God's Holy Tabernacle—a ministry commissioned and consecrated by God to be a radiant beacon of hope, healing, and holiness. For the past decade, this church has served as a spiritual beacon in Worcester County and beyond, drawing souls to Christ, restoring families, and transforming communities through the power of the Holy Spirit.
The story of this ministry cannot be told without honoring its visionary founder, Senior Pastor Wells, a man after God’s own heart whose journey with the Lord began long before the church’s foundation. On March 31, 2004, Pastor Wells accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior, marking the beginning of a life wholly surrendered to the call of God. He began his spiritual training in a church rooted in the Church of God in Christ, where he served faithfully as an evangelist, minister, and teacher. These formative years were marked by deep study, humble service, and a growing passion for outreach and discipleship.
In 2012, Pastor Wells launched a Wednesday night Bible study through a prayer phone line ministry. What began as a small gathering quickly evolved into a powerful, Spirit-led movement that continues to this day, reaching believers across multiple states and time zones. This virtual Bible study became a lifeline for many, especially during the pandemic, and remains a vital part of the church’s weekly teaching.
By 2015, under divine instruction and apostolic commissioning, Pastor Wells stepped out in faith to establish Kingdom of Grace God's Holy Tabernacle Ministries. Alongside the church, he founded two outreach arms that would become pillars of the ministry’s mission:
HOPE (Help Other People Eat) – a food outreach initiative serving individuals and families in need.
HOPIN (Help Other People In Need) – a compassionate ministry providing resources, support, and relief to those facing hardship.
These ministries have become lifelines—feeding the hungry, supporting local churches, aiding refugees, and ministering to those in recovery and crisis. Through these efforts, the church has become a trusted partner in the community, recognized not only for its preaching but also for its actions—living out the Gospel in tangible, transformative ways.
Throughout the early years of this journey, Pastor Wells was faithfully supported by his beloved wife, the late First Lady Patricia Wells. Her unwavering faith, gentle strength, and deep love for God’s people helped lay the spiritual and emotional foundation of the church. Though she was called home to be with the Lord in September 2021, her legacy continues to live on in the hearts of those she touched and in the ministry she helped build.
In June 2024, God ushered in a new chapter with the marriage of Pastor Wells to Pastor Prophetess First Lady Tara Wells—a dynamic, Spirit-filled woman of God whose prophetic insight, leadership, and passion for outreach have brought renewed strength and vision to the ministry. Together, they form a powerful team, leading the church with unity, wisdom, and divine purpose.
Under their united leadership—and with the unwavering support of a dedicated leadership team—Kingdom of Grace has expanded its reach like never before. The church has forged strategic partnerships with local ministries and organizations, launched vibrant food distribution programs, provided compassionate support to refugees, and led transformative outreach for addiction recovery. These efforts are not just acts of service—they are acts of love, rooted in the heart of Christ and carried out by a team committed to making a difference.
In 2020, the church launched a focused soul-winning initiative, and since then, over 1,400 souls have surrendered their lives to Christ. This incredible harvest is a testament to the tireless work of the pastoral team, ministry leaders, and volunteers who serve with boldness, compassion, and unwavering faith. The leadership team has played a vital role in this movement—organizing outreach events, leading prayer and evangelism efforts, and discipling new believers into a deeper walk with Christ.
Through ongoing outreach, Spirit-led ministry, and a leadership team committed to the call, the work continues to thrive—stronger, deeper, and more impactful than ever before. The church is not only growing in numbers but in spiritual maturity, unity, and influence.
As we celebrate this 10-year milestone, we pause to reflect on God’s faithfulness and to give Him all the glory. This ministry was not birthed by human ambition, but by divine purpose. As Pastor Wells often declares:
“It was God’s will and purpose, not mine.”
With the blessing of Almighty God and the power of the Holy Spirit, Kingdom of Grace God's Holy Tabernacle is poised to become not only the biggest little church in Worcester County, but one of the most impactful ministries in the world—a church where lives are changed, communities are restored, and Christ is glorified.
To God be the glory!
