Why do I need a proofreader?

There are three main reasons why you should have your text professionally proofread before submitting it to publishers, reviewers, employers or clients.

• Mistakes in the text may reduce your credibility in the eyes of your reader, even if you are an expert.
• Mistakes in the text might give the impression that not much care was taken in writing it, which would be especially unfortunate as you will have put a lot of effort into this.
• Perhaps most importantly, mistakes in the text may lead to the reader failing to grasp your important message.
