King James Bible Institute Statement on Accreditation

The King James Bible Institute is an independent Bible institute. We do not seek, nor do we desire, accreditation from the United States Department of Education or any government recognized accrediting agency.

Our mission is simple: teach the King James Bible, train believers, and equip soul winners for the work of the ministry. We answer to the authority of God's Word, not to government educational agencies.

Some have attempted to dismiss independent Bible institutes by using the phrase "degree mill." That accusation does not fit KJBI.

Degree mills exist to make money by selling credentials. KJBI charges no tuition. Every certificate and every degree we award is earned through study, examinations, written assignments, and demonstrated knowledge of the Scriptures. No one can buy a degree from KJBI because there is nothing to buy.

Our goal has never been to produce graduates with impressive titles. Our goal is to produce Christians who rightly divide the word of truth, preach the gospel clearly, defend the faith, and win souls to Jesus Christ. We would rather graduate one faithful soul winner than a thousand people who simply collected another diploma.

The same conviction that has led many Christian families to educate their children outside the government school system is the conviction that guides KJBI. We believe Bible education should be governed by the Word of God, not by government standards. We have no interest in changing our curriculum, doctrine, or mission to obtain government recognition.

Those seeking a government accredited degree for a secular career should attend a government accredited college or university. That is a legitimate purpose, but it is not ours.

KJBI exists to prepare laborers for the harvest. Our certificates and degrees recognize the successful completion of rigorous Bible and ministry training. They are designed for biblical education and ministry preparation, not for secular licensing, government employment requirements, or transfer into government accredited institutions.

We are not building careers. We are building Christians.

We are not pursuing government approval. We are pursuing faithfulness to the Word of God.

We are not interested in filling classrooms. We are interested in filling pulpits, mission fields, prisons, nursing homes, street corners, and every place where the gospel of the grace of God needs to be preached.
