For Phase Three, participants hosted private pop-up events to meet, reflect, and celebrate. Dialogues were inspired by The Presence of the Past: Popular Uses of History in American Life. The following is a breakdown of who contributed to Kin/Folk/Lore, Volume 1: COMMUNITY.

Participant Demographics: the majority of participants were women; approximately 1 out of every 6 participants identified as trans, nonbinary, genderqueer, or gender non-conforming. the majority of participants were Black and Latine. approximately 83% were people of color. the majority of participants were 20- and 30-year-olds. nearly a 1/3 of participants were 50+.
