KinderNotes is designed to help educators document, organize, and manage classroom observations and student learning records. Protecting user privacy is a core principle of the app's design.
KinderNotes stores information entered by users for the purpose of providing the app's functionality.
Information may include:
Observation notes
Photos and videos selected by the user
Learning records and documentation
Classroom and student information entered by the user
This information is stored on the user's device unless the user chooses to export it.
KinderNotes does not sell, rent, share, or disclose personal information to third parties.
The app does not provide user data to advertisers, data brokers, analytics companies, or marketing services.
KinderNotes allows users to export information at their discretion.
All exports are initiated by the user. KinderNotes does not automatically transmit educational records, observation notes, student information, or images to external systems.
Users are responsible for determining where exported information is sent and for complying with applicable privacy and educational record requirements.
KinderNotes is specifically designed to support the protection of student privacy.
Where exports are generated, the app is designed to anonymize student names whenever appropriate to reduce the risk of disclosing personally identifiable information.
Information sharing between devices is flexible, and enables the use of approved communication channels.
If users choose to attach photos or other media to records, those files are stored for use within the app and are included only in exports explicitly initiated by the user.
KinderNotes does not upload photos or media to external servers.
KinderNotes does not require account creation.
KinderNotes does not collect personal information for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes.
KinderNotes does not track users across apps or websites.
The app may request access to device features such as:
Camera
Photo Library
File Storage
These permissions are used solely to provide app functionality requested by the user.
Reasonable measures are taken to protect information stored by the app. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Users are encouraged to protect their devices with appropriate passwords, passcodes, and security settings.
KinderNotes is intended for use by educators and educational professionals. The app is not directed toward children as users.
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the effective date at the top of this document.
