Digital Security and Privacy

This element refers to the understanding of viruses. It is important that students are aware that when using the internet there are websites that pass along viruses. Students should make sure they are going onto a trusted website before clicking on it. (.edu, and .org are always trusted)

If a student is not sure if the website is safe they should ask the teacher, or other adult.

A student gets online and an add pops up to go to another website. They do not click on this add though because they do not know if it leads to a trusted website.
