Class Information

I expect my students to come in everyday to class ready learn, with happy attitudes. Whatever is going on outside of the classroom should be left at the door. In my classroom we will be family, and we will be here to build one another up. There will be no bullying tolerated in my classroom. If I hear of any bullying serious consequences will occur. I also expect students to come into the classroom with the materials that they are expected to have. If there are any problems obtaining these materials please let me know.

What is expected of students outside of the classroom?

Students are expected to go over materials we learned inside of classroom on their own time outside of the classroom. I recommend maybe reading some short books before bed, or going over math problems. This just keeps the information flowing, and helps memory. Flashcards will be sent home with site words on them, and math problems. I will not assign a lot of homework for students to work on outside of class. The only time students will have work to do outside of class is if they did not complete any work that was given during class time.

All I ask from parents is to practice reading, and math problems with their children. I will ask for volunteers throughout the year to help with class parties, or field trips. Parents ARE NOT required to volunteer, it is just an option for any parent who is interested. Other Recourses for parents will be found HERE.
