Effective date: 26 September 2026
App: Kind Cycle: Period & Pregnancy (Android package: com.kindcycle.app)
Contact: m.osamaellahi@gmail.com
Kind Cycle is a period, fertility and pregnancy tracker. This policy explains what information the app handles, where it is kept, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain language because your health information is personal.
Kind Cycle has no accounts, no sign-up and no servers.
Everything you enter is stored only on your phone.
The app does not have permission to use the internet, so it cannot send your data anywhere.
We (the developer) never receive, see, sell or share your data.
Your data leaves your phone only if you choose to export or share it yourself.
You decide what to enter. Depending on how you use Kind Cycle, this can include:
Profile: your name or nickname, and optionally your date of birth and a profile photo you pick from your gallery.
Cycle information: period start and end dates, flow, cycle length, period length and how regular your cycle is.
Tracking: symptoms, mood and notes; optional ovulation information such as LH test results, morning body temperature and cervical mucus.
Pregnancy: first day of your last period, conception date, due date from your doctor, and how a pregnancy ended.
Babies: optionally, a baby's name and birth date, to show their age.
Settings: your language, units, first day of the week and reminder choices.
Several profiles: if you add more profiles on the same phone, each profile's information is stored separately on that phone.
This is health information. We treat it as sensitive, which is why it never leaves your device through the app.
All information is stored in a private database inside the app on your phone. Other apps cannot read it.
Android's automatic cloud backup is turned off for Kind Cycle, so your data is not copied to Google Drive or moved to a new phone automatically.
Estimates (such as your next period, fertile window, ovulation, pregnancy week or due date) are worked out on your phone and are not sent anywhere.
We do not collect any information. Kind Cycle does not:
create accounts or ask for an email or phone number;
use analytics, tracking, advertising IDs or crash-reporting services;
show ads (see section 12 about future changes);
use your location, contacts, camera, microphone or any other device data;
connect to the internet.
Notifications (Android 13 and later asks for this): to show the reminders you turn on, such as an upcoming period, fertile days or weekly pregnancy updates. You can turn reminders off in the app or in your phone's settings at any time.
Run at start-up: so your reminders are set again after your phone restarts.
When you choose a profile photo, the app uses Android's photo picker. Only the one photo you pick is used; the app gets no access to the rest of your gallery. The photo is made smaller and stored inside the app.
Only when you do it yourself:
Exports: you can create a PDF summary, an Excel file or a full backup file (JSON). These files are created on your phone. You then choose where to save or send them (for example, to your doctor, your email or a cloud drive).
Sharing your status: "My status" creates an image of your day. It is only shared if you tap Share and choose an app to share it with.
Once you send an exported file or image to another app or person, how it is handled is governed by that app's or person's own privacy practices. Please share health information only with people and services you trust.
We do not sell, rent, trade or share your information with anyone, including advertisers, data brokers, insurers or employers. Because the app has no internet access and we have no servers, we never have your information to share.
Your information stays on your phone until you remove it. You can:
edit or delete individual entries (periods, symptoms, pregnancies, babies) in the app;
delete a profile and all of its information (More → Profiles);
clear all app data in your phone's settings (Settings → Apps → Kind Cycle → Storage → Clear data);
uninstall the app, which deletes all of its information from your phone.
Deleted information cannot be recovered unless you made a backup file yourself.
Your information is kept in the app's private storage, protected by Android's app sandbox. To keep it safe, we recommend using a screen lock on your phone and keeping exported files in a safe place. No method of storage is completely secure, but not sending your information anywhere removes the biggest risks.
Kind Cycle is meant for people who track their periods or pregnancy. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. Since all information stays on the device, we never receive a child's information.
Kind Cycle gives estimates based on what you enter. It is not a medical device, it is not a method of birth control, and it does not diagnose any condition. Always talk to a doctor, nurse or midwife about your health.
If Kind Cycle changes the way it handles information (for example, if a future version shows ads or adds an optional online feature), we will update this policy before that version is released, change the effective date above, and describe the change in the app's release notes. If a change needs your permission, the app will ask you first.
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in the EU or UK, or state laws in the US), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your personal data. Because Kind Cycle stores your information only on your phone and we never receive it, you can use these rights directly in the app: view and edit your data, export it (backup, Excel or PDF), or delete it at any time. If you have any question about your rights, please contact us.
If you have questions or concerns about this policy or your privacy, email m.osamaellahi@gmail.com. We aim to reply
