This Privacy Policy describes how the "Kind Acts" mobile application ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information. We wrote it in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, contact us using the details at the bottom of this page.
Kind Acts does not collect, store on a server, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything you type into the App stays on your own device. We have no servers, no analytics, no advertising partners, and no way to see what you write.
The only information the App handles is the text you voluntarily enter to describe an act of giving (for example, "helped a neighbor carry groceries") and the automatically generated date/time associated with each entry.
This information:
Is stored only locally on your device, using Android's standard application-private storage (SharedPreferences).
Is never transmitted anywhere. The App does not use the internet at all — it requests no network permission and cannot send data even if it wanted to.
Is never shared with us, with the app stores, or with any third party, because we never receive it in the first place.
Is never used for advertising, analytics, or profiling, because the App contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
None. Kind Acts does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, photos, files, or any other device permission. You can verify this yourself in your device's Settings → Apps → Kind Acts → Permissions, which should show an empty list.
Because your entries live only in the App's private storage on your device, you are always in full control of them:
To delete a single entry: tap the delete icon next to that entry inside the App.
To delete all data at once: go to your device's Settings → Apps → Kind Acts → Storage & cache → Clear storage (wording varies by Android version/manufacturer), or uninstall the App.
Uninstalling the App permanently removes all of its locally stored data from your device.
If your device has Android's automatic backup feature enabled, your entries may be included in your personal Android device backup (the same system used for other apps' settings). That backup is encrypted and controlled by your Google account, not by us — we do not have access to it.
Kind Acts is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because the App does not collect information from anyone at all.
The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or social media SDKs. No information is ever shared with, sold to, or processed by any third party.
Since no data ever leaves your device, there is no transmission for anyone to intercept. Your entries are protected the same way any other app-private data on your device is protected by the Android operating system.
If we ever change how the App handles data in the future, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date above. We recommend checking back occasionally if you have concerns.
