Star Child
Through painting and visual art, I seek to explore emotions and memories and offer a space for healing.
The Star Child, with a small yellow star resting in its curly hair, is a quiet listener to the hearts of others.
The child carries unspoken worries, fears, and emotions like flowers held gently in its arms. The curly hair symbolizes the endless flow of thoughts, concerns, and feelings that arise within the human mind.
Rather than turning away from these emotions, the Star Child embraces them with patience and understanding. The flowers held close are not meant to erase pain or remove scars. Instead, they symbolize accepting one's emotions as they are and allowing time for gentle healing.
The Star Child reminds us that healing does not always come from solving our problems. Sometimes it begins by acknowledging our feelings, listening to them, and giving them a place to rest.
Through this series, I hope to offer viewers a quiet companion—one that listens without judgment and gently encourages them to embrace their own emotions and memories.
Star Child No.08
depicts a quiet moment of sitting with one's emotions.
The child in the painting represents the inner self that chooses not to run away from sadness, fear, or anxiety, but to acknowledge and face them. Surrounded by warm and vibrant colors, the figure sits peacefully, suggesting that emotions do not always need to be overcome or erased.
Rather than offering solutions, the painting invites viewers to pause and listen to the feelings they carry within. Sometimes healing begins not by changing our emotions, but by allowing them to exist and giving them a place to rest.
This work is a gentle reminder that every emotion deserves to be seen, understood, and embraced.
