The Kim Macrame Experience
Kim discovered macramé more than six years ago, starting from a simple love for natural cotton cords and the desire to create handmade pieces with a personal touch. At first, it was just small items—plant hangers, little keychains, or wall decorations. But over time, Kim realized that macramé was more than just a craft; it was a way to connect with nature and to practice patience and mindfulness through every knot.
As the journey continued, Kim’s creations grew more diverse: from everyday accessories like water bottle holders and phone straps, to larger art pieces such as the “Tree of Life”, and even unique fashion designs including dresses, bags, and macramé bikinis. Each piece carries a story, often inspired by nature, daily life, and the beauty of travel.
What began as a personal passion slowly grew into Kim Macramé – a cozy little studio in the heart of Hoi An. Here, Kim not only crafts handmade items but also shares the joy of knotting through macramé workshops. Students come from both near and far—local friends, international travelers, or anyone seeking a peaceful and creative experience.
Today, Kim Macramé is more than a craft shop. It is a journey—a place that preserves the simplicity, elegance, and gentle spirit of Hoi An.
