A snapshot of the noise gate parameters window

Why and How to Use Noise Gate [Video]

Noise Gate

Noise gate applies audio control to a track. A certain frequency can be set as a threshold, to which sounds above that threshold are allowed through the gate, whereas the gate closes on sounds quieter or louder than that frequency. It can be very useful if any audio bleeds through other microphones, or if there is background noise/mud in a recording.

Noise Gate was not used in any of the tracks in this project.
