Feel free to call me, Kim. I had recently joined the Math Department at Northeastern State University as their Assistant Professor. Having grew up in Wisconsin, it has been a lot of fun getting to know Oklahoma.
I had received my PhD at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee under Dr. Pamela Harris. This website is to give you a look into my mathematical career.Â
However, there are several thing that I like doing besides math. This would be playing violin, paddleboarding, crafts, and much more.
I have played violin for over 20 years and try to be in a local orchestras whenever my schedule allows. Two orchestras that I have been a part of in the past few years are Gracenotes Community Orchestra in Mukwonago and University Community Orchestra at UW-Milwaukee. Both of these orchestras encourage students and community members to participate which allows younger members to work along side senior musicians. In the past, I was also a part of a folk band, Kylemore. We played a variety of Irish and American folk music mixed in with some rock music given with our own personal flair. I not only played a violin in this group but a rang of stringed instruments.
Living in Wisconsin, there has always a lake just a short distance away. Especially in the summers, paddleboarding is something that I tried to do quite a bit of. Now that I'm in a state that has a longer warmer season, I'm excited to do outdoor activities longer!
